Julia Child?

My daughter cooked dinner one night last week.

This was the result of the kitchen when dinner was ready.

To get a really good look at the pictures, click on them.

The meal was really good!  The clean-up?  Not so much!

She leaves for school in 2 days.  I'm getting my house back again.

I'll take pictures again in a few days to show you what it used to look like all the time, and will again, I hope.

LOL - I don't feel so alone any more! My daughter, her husband and their two little ones spent 1 1/2 weeks with me....while I enjoyed our time together immensely, I am STILL digging out! ox

Mine knows how to microwave pizza rolls and that's about it.

LOL Joanie! I guess you have to decide ahead of time whether to allow her to cook the next time she asks, and then enlist the aid of hubby to help clean up, if you agree.

Jane, my "kids" are 19 and 22. I don't clean up after them any more. And no hubby here, not for nearly 6 years! (John isn't my husband and we don't live together)

This made me laugh, Joannie! Glad the meal was wonderful....because man, what a creative mess. ha

Same thing here when my husband cooks.

I clean as I go. Jim? Not so much. 3,000 spoons get used. 200 forks. 98 bowls. 35 spatulas. Ugh.

Hey man at least she cooks! I try to clean as I go along because otherwise the stuff will just pile up forever. I could totally go for a dishwasher someday...

At least the meal was good. If I'd done it there'd be burn marks on the cupboard doors and chips in the countertops.

I didn't need to super size those pictures they totally speak loudly enough by themselves.

My husband cooks like this. Fortunately, he does usually clean up. I'm a clean-as-you-go type cook. One of the few cleaning tics I have, since the rest of the house can go to hell and I don't even see iit.
Kudos for teaching her to cook! When I left for college I could make spaghetti (real sauce), chili, omelets, and pancakes. But then, that's all I needed to know for a long time.

Okay. I get it. Your daughter couldn't have made all that mess over one meal. That's really YOUR clutter left over from the last SIX meals you've cooked. Right? Tell me I"m right. arghhh
