My blogging mojo seems to be on vacation lately. Not sure why. I'll see what I can come up with.
My Nutrisystem is going ok. I haven't lost any weight this week. I caved on Friday when our regional manager brought in a bag of Philadelphia Pretzel Factory soft pretzels. I didn't bring lunch to work because I thought I'd be out early enough to have lunch at home. I was wrong. So I caved and had TWO, yes I said TWO pretzels. That triggered a craving and I was in Carb Frenzy Heaven all night. I couldn't stop. Waffles with syrup and then some cheddar cheese and then some Weight Watchers ice cream snacks. Fortunately I got tired and finally went to bed. It was the only thing that made me stop. Weight was up 2 pounds the next morning. I've been working on losing it all weekend.
My ex threw Tim a graduation party this weekend. Last night I noticed the CAKE on top of the fridge. This is a good thing about being short. Sometimes I miss stuff like this because I can't see up there. I helped myself to a small piece then threw half of that away. It was too sweet! I couldn't take it! I didn't eat my NS dessert then, since I had that little piece of cake. Fortunately I was tired and went to bed earlier than usual, most likely before any carb craving kicked in.
After work today I'll be heading to my sister's house for dinner. I'm bringing my own food. She can provide the veggies.

Hey! It worked!! Ok, this is my meal plan for today. This is what a diabetic on Nutrisystem can eat in a day. I feel like I eat constantly. The trick is to eat small meals all day long. It keeps blood sugar level . uh level! No spikes or big drops. I find if I wait too long to eat, I get nauseous, rather than shaky.
I'm finally back on my blood pressure meds. I was taking Lisinopril but it made me cough so bad, my boss would send me home. So now I'm on Diovan. My doctor wants me to ease into it, so this week I take 40 mg. once a day. Next week, I take 40 mg. morning and night. Week 3, I take 40 mg. x2, one time a day. This Rx was $104!!!! and that was AFTER a coupon and my 15% discount with my insurance! I'll ask her to change that to an 80 mg. pill because it'll be considerably less... like $48 for the Rx.
Something I've learned. When you get a Rx from your doctor, google the name of the medicine. Chances are, you'll find a site to print out a coupon for it. Last month, when I was sick, my Rx bill went from $87 to $60, using coupons! I found a $20 coupon for Diovan this month, and it's good for a year!
Ya know what? Getting old sucks. High blood pressure, diabetes, blood tests, Auntie Flo showing up whenever she damn well pleases and stays as long as she likes. Hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings. Let me correct that... getting old when you're a female sucks.
I still can't tell my news yet. Another couple of weeks maximum, I swear! Sorry kids. And quit trying to guess, Gina. You'll never figure it out and I'm not at liberty to tell you yet anyway. All in due time, my pretty!!!
OK, I think that's it! I need to get this butt to work soon, so I better get dressed. A tee and shorts that don't match and no bra is NOT acceptable attire for restaurant work!

Carb screamers are the worse!!! Considering they were up in full strength...you did good on limiting your carb intake.
That is one thing nice about Nutri System...you can take the food anywhere. All you need is a microwave.
It is amazing what drugs cost today! I never thought about looking online for coupons. Thanks for the tip!
And getting old is not for wimps! Male or female. But the female, as usual, draws the short end of the stick!!

Good job sticking with your Nutrisystem even with the one accidental foray into carb heaven. ;) Carbs are always my downfall. But I love them so much.

I find diets so hard to stick to. Sounds like you have a few weakness but you are controlling them nicely.
