I have been on a reading frenzy this year. I even have a list of books that I'm currently reading on my sidebar (yes I'm reading 3 books at a time). I also have a list of all the books I've completed this year. I've been downloading audio books from my library to my computer. Then I transfer the books to my Blackberry. Some people have a lot of music on their Blackberries, I have audio books. I'm working my way through James Patterson's Alex Cross Series. I'm alternating those with Lisa Scottoline's Rosato and Associates Series. I listen to my books, mostly while driving back and forth to John's place.
John gave me a Kindle for Christmas this past year and I have about 17 books on there right now. I read my Kindle when I'm home or at John's. I keep it in my purse, so I always have it when I need it. I normally don't bring the Kindle into work (but I did this week because I couldn't put the current book down! I NEEDED to finish it!)
I also have a stack of 30+ books in my bedroom that are waiting to be read. So those books I keep in my work bag and I read on my breaks or when it slows down.
I read a really really good book this week! As a matter of fact, I read it in 3 days. I haven't read a book that quickly in a long time. The name of the book is The Opposite Of Me: A Novel by Sarah Pekkanen. Sarah is a first time novelist and she hit a home run out of the ball park!
Here's the link to her website where you can find out all about the book.

She also has a Facebook page and I found her to be very friendly.

My next series of books I plan to read are Janet Evanovich's, Stephanie Plum Series. In print version, I am reading #5 (High Five) and I have #6 (Hot six) in the wings. Some of the later books I can download to my Blackberry, but I have to read the first 10.
So what's on everyone's reading list these days?

Ijust finished, Your Heart Belongs to Me by Dean Koontz. Pretty Good! I love love the Stephanie Plum books. #2 had me laughing so hard.
My bedroom has books stacked all over it too! Gonna check out The Opposite of Me.
I'm currently reading Dead as a Doornail in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
Love Stephanie Plum!!
I'm a huge Jennifer Weiner fan- have you read her? And I love Jodi Piccoult, too.
Liz, I've read all but 2 of Jennifer Weiner's book. Best Friend's Forever is really good! I've also read only 1 of Jodi Picoult's books (My Sister's Keeper), but I plan to get more when I've read what's on my kindle.
Angie, I just kept buying books, even when I swore I wouldn't until I read what I already had! I can't stop myself! LOL
Mo, I just love Stephanie Plum! They're making ha movie of the 1st one and they've cast Katherien Heigl as Stephanie. I think Sandra Bullock would be better, but shes "too old". How about Queen Latifa as Lulu??
My newest pile of books mainly thanks to our book club (I failed to read the past two months selections, so I am MUST read this one or I will personally kick myself out of the group!!! I do their blog though so they won't get rid of me)... anyway back to the books - We are reading South of Broad by Pat Conroy, I purchased Opposite of Me and Laura Bush's autobiography. We also have chosen Bel Canto for a book club selection this month. I've got my reading cut out for me. I am a fast reader but rarely make the time (or find the QUIET time) to sit and read!
You will love Janet's books...she makes me laugh!! I have a pile of books TBR next to my chair in the living room. About 30 as well I would say. I don't have a Kindle and debating if I would use it enough to warrant getting one.
Enjoy your books!
Hugs
SueAnn
Thanks for the recommendations. I love when I go into a good book feeding frenzy.
SueAnn, I've read 4 of Janet Evanovich's books so far and have just started High Five. She makes me laugh!
The only thing on m reading list is blogs and I can barely keep up with them. No time for an actual book!
I admire your reading frenzy. I can only work on one book at a time.
Joanie it sounds like you're a reading fiend! Right now I'm reading Three Cups of Tea, which I realize most people read last year. I'm a late bloomer.
