Passion
If I ever get married again, this is the song I want to dance to. It says everything I feel when I think of John and me. He woke a passion in me that I thought was dead and gone forever. It hasn't diminished a bit in 4 years, and I don't think it's going away any time soon. And nobody can sing it like Miss Etta James.
I give you....
At Last
At last, my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Oh, yeah, at last
The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clovers
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to rest my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Oh, yeah when you smile, you smile
Oh, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine
At last
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Oh, yeah, at last
The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clovers
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to rest my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Oh, yeah when you smile, you smile
Oh, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine
At last

I love this song. Having it be true in your own life, is wonderful! More power to you both!!!
Oldie but goody. The words are appropriate for anyone who has found their one.
I too love this song! And I am so glad that it fits your life to a "T"!!! Congrats!!

I've always loved this song but never really listened to and absorbed the words until you wrote them down. Now the song evokes even more passion! Great post and happiness to you both!
and thanks for playing along!
Truly a beautiful tribute to your relationship. I love that you feel this way!
I also love the photo that greets me every time I'm here. Could you LOOK more happy suspended as you are in mid-air?
May everyone experience your interpretation of Passion at least once in their life!
Love this song!
Beautiful tribute to passion!
Oh you lucky lady to have love in your life so passionately. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song!!! In fact I played it just yesterday on my iPod....
Thanks for forwarding the demise of the old Fireweed Theatre on to your friend. It was a shame to see it go. I have seen many great movies there. There is absolutely nothing left of that theatre other than the old sign. Sigh....
Always been one of my favourites.
One of my all time favorite songs-- ever! Great choice.

What a perfect choice for "Passion"! Thanks for sharing it!
a beautiful song, a beautiful sentiment.
Love the song. But I thought this post was going to be about what's your passion in life. I'm glad that's not what it's about b/c I don't know what my passion is.
