Six Word Saturday

Goodbye Empty Nest.  I'll miss you.

Ah, yes.  My empty nest is closing (or is it opening?)  My son, Tim is graduating on Saturday, May 8th (Summa Cum Laude!  brag brag brag!)  He will be moving home the following week until he finds a job in his career choice and can afford a place of his own.   Tim hopes to be out on his own within a year.

My daughter, Dani will be coming home for the summer and will return to her college in August.

I really did enjoy my empty nest.  I liked being able to come and go as I pleased.  To go to John's for the night whenever I felt like without having to let anybody know I wasn't going to be home.

I hope I get my empty nest back soon!!!

I agree with the freedom of an empty nest. Change is something people handle differently but once the change faded into a routine, you now need to change back.
I have no problem occupying myself with the many ideas that pop into my head.

I'm sure you'll love having them back for... a minute or two :0)

Well, it will be nice for a short time. Try to stick to your own routine as best you can. Make them get used to your schedule.
Good luck

Well the good news, dear Joanie, is that with two more adults back in the house you have four additional hands available for scooping the littlerbox! At some point their comings and goings will be separate from yours and you will be freed up to continue going your own way. It's called copacetic living.

Enjoy them, but don't let them cramp your style.

Kiss John for me.

Boy, can I relate to that! I was devastated when my last one left for Syracuse U in the fall, now he's coming back in 2 weeks, and I'm kinda wishin' the year was a little longer! Haha!

I too started writing about this when I turned fifty...hope you'll ck out the site and join us on Facebook:

My mom got a taste of empty nest and she loved it, till my baby sister came back home with twins. She has been invading my moms peace ever since and added two more kids. Mom wants to run away from home!

Good luck!
