Does anyone know how to widen my posts? I have all this space to the left and right and it's getting on my nerves. I can't understand the mumbo jumbo instructions to change it. I also tried to change my blog into a 3 column blog. I found the instructions. They may as well be in Arabic! I can't understand one word of it!

I know HTML and I can probably translate the instructions if you post the URL -- but I don't have the same template as you so I can't just look it up inside Blogger.

I have no idea Joanie, or I would have fixed the same thing at my place. I feel the same way.
http://www.pyzam.com/bloggertemplates has a great selection, it just may take you a while to cycle through them until you find the one you want.. then.. copy and past.
BUT copy all of your sidebar widgets html into Word or Notepad so when you re-do your template, all you have to do is add the gadgets, copy and paste the widget codes back in
AND save your original template just in case (that's a simple button in the Layout section)
Easiest way for now is to go to Layout - Pick New Template and choose - Minima Stretch. This will give you a white background and widen your writing area. Right now I am using that with a background from another website. Its easy to insert into the HTML (if I can do it anyone can). Just let me know if you want the website.
Like dizzblnd daid make sure you always save the template before playing with the HTML.
My post from earlier this month was written while I was playing around -- took me several tries to get it how I want it.
Ironically this was the same template I started with before I got brave and started playing.

I went through this on MY blog last week. Remember? I ended up going into TEMPLATES and I kept choosing til I finally got my post SPREAD OUT. I hate reading what is nothing more than a COLUMN!!
The three panel is going to make it worse for you if you haven't already figured that out.

Hmm, though I know HTML - in a loose sense - I would tend to just try a few different layouts rather than touching the HTML, knowing my luck I would bring blogger to a halt.

I wanted to do that but then decided, F it lol!
I was debating if I wanted to have a stretch type of layout, but I really like having my avitar as a background, so I just chose something else.
